Emergency Towing Service Savannah GA

If your car is totaled, it’s important to know what to do. Here at Tim’s Towing, we offer heavy-duty tow truck services for vehicles that have been in accidents or are otherwise unable to be driven. We’re here to help you through this difficult time!

Assess and Call for Help

As with any accident, your safety is of top priority. After impact, take a moment to assess the safety and well-being of everyone in the vehicle. Look for open wounds or any places of pain. You may need a few moments for adrenaline to subside before noticing all injuries.

Pull Over

Once you have determined that everyone is safe, you will want to pull over to the side of the road or a parking lot. If your vehicle is blocking traffic or otherwise posing a danger, turn on your hazard lights. This will warn other drivers and help them give you a wide berth.

Call for Assistance

The next step is to call for help. If you can, move to a safe location away from the accident site before making the call. This will allow emergency responders easier access when they arrive. Be sure to stay on the line with dispatch until they have all the necessary information.

Contact Tim’s Towing

If your car has been totaled, reach out to the Tim’s Towing team. Once we hear from you and receive your location, our team will come and pick up your car and take it to a storage facility. Here it will be safe and out of the way while you recover. You can rest assured knowing that your car is in good hands with us!

Work with Your Insurance Company

Next, you will need to contact your insurance company.  They will likely want to send an adjuster to assess the damage to your vehicle. Once they have determined that it is totaled, they will begin working on a settlement with you.

There are a few things to keep in mind when working with your insurance company. First and foremost, be sure to keep all documentation related to the accident and your car. This includes medical bills, repair estimates, police reports, and anything else that may be relevant. Your insurance company will use this information to determine the value of your claim.

Additionally, don’t be afraid to ask questions or negotiate for a higher settlement amount. Remember, you are entitled to receive fair compensation for your loss. An experienced attorney can help you through this.
